Taft Point Fissures

RJH8678 What an introduction to Yosemite: Mountain Lions had been sighted in the area. Awesome! We didn't expect to see three dudes slack-lining across the fissures. RJH8699

Maja thought that slacklining looked so easy that she did it too... here she's just finishing her 100 foot crossing. RJH8717 That's a long way down! The fissures - giant joints in the granite formed as the granite's internal pressures cause the rock to expand.
Maja, Ellen & Lena loved the view. Lena was very brave and bold. She quickly laid down for a peak over the edge. Lena watches Helmut get near the edge. Ellen was on a quest to become the first person to jump from one side of Yosemite Valley to the other.
Still a long way down! Ellen & Lena. RJH8734 Lena peers over the edge. Julie and Jill
Zephyr LOVES Yosemite. Zephyr enjoys the Jeffrey Pine bark. "I love trees!", exclaimed Zephyr. The slackliner dudes were back at it as we left.
No pressure - just a few thousand feet between his slackline and the ground. The view from Washburn Point. Vernal & Nevada Falls. Half Dome from Washburn Point. I found three people on the top when digitally zooming-in.
